Goalkeeper Shay Given will hope to start for the Republic of Ireland against Sweden at the age of 40 years, one month and 24 days, while Italy shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon is likely to make the Azzurri XI against Belgium at 38 years four months and 16 days.
