Mohamed Salah is "ready to play against Russia" after taking part in full training on Saturday, says Egypt manager Ihab Leheta.
The Liverpool forward, who has been recovering from the shoulder injury he sustained in last month's Champions League final, was an unused substitute in Friday's 1-0 defeat to Uruguay.
With two games remaining of the group stage, Egypt need to beat Russia, who thrashed Saudi Arabia 5-0 in their opening fixture, if they are to stand a realistic chance of progressing to the knockout phases of the World Cup.
Leheta said: "Salah participated in training with his team-mates for the entire session and he is ready to play against Russia according to technical staff.
"Salah did not ask to play against Uruguay. The Russia game is difficult because of our defeat against Uruguay. Winning is our only choice."
Salah scored 44 goals in his debut Liverpool season after signing from Italian side Roma for £34.3m.
