Southampton's Victor Wanyama has not travelled to Denmark for the second leg of their Europa League qualifier against FC Midtjylland because of a "stomach infection".
The midfielder's absence comes just three days after it was understood he told the club that he wanted to leave amid interest from Tottenham.
Saints boss Ronald Koeman told a press conference on Wednesday: "Victor has not travelled because of a stomach infection. I hope that he will be available for the weekend, but we have to wait."
Koeman declared last week that Wanyama is "not for sale" and Sky sources understand the south coast club have informed the 24-year-old of their intention to offer him a new contract.
But it is believed the former Celtic man is interested in working with former Southampton head coach Mauricio Pochettino again, and he responded to Saints' offer by telling them he is not entirely happy at St Mary's and he sees his future elsewhere.
It is understood that Tottenham want to sign Wanyama before next Tuesday's transfer deadline. Pochettino brought Wanyama to Southampton two years ago for what was believed to be a club-record fee of around £12m.
Wanyama has since made 57 Premier League appearances for Southampton, scoring three goals.
