PSV Eindhoven clinched the Dutch Super Cup with a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Groningen to send an early signal of intent to their Eredivisie rivals.
The reigning league champions took the lead after 25 minutes through Luuk de Jong and never looked back, with Adam Maher making it 2-0 after 50 minutes.
De Jong wrapped up the win with his second of the afternoon 13 minutes later.
PSV get their title defence under way at ADO Den Haag next Saturday, while last year's KNVB Cup winners Groningen kick-off their season at home to FC Twente.
The two sides meet again in the second round Eredivisie fixtures, live on Sky Sports, with Groningen travelling to Eindhoven on August 16.
