Wales defender Neil Taylor will serve a two-match suspension in the wake of his red card for a late challenge on the Republic of Ireland’s Seamus Coleman.
An automatic one-match ban meant Aston Villa's Taylor was already due to miss the World Cup Qualifier in Serbia on June 11.
But following a meeting of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee, he will now also miss the home game with Austria on September 2.
Everton defender Coleman was ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a broken leg he suffered following a late challenge from Taylor in the 0-0 draw at the Aviva Stadium on March 24.
The 28-year-old has now returned to the Toffees' Finch Farm training complex as he begins the long road back to recovery.
