Wales player ratings: Jack Collison rates Chris Coleman's heroes

Who were the star men in Wales' historic quarter-final triumph over Belgium at Euro 2016?

Chris Coleman's side booked a semi-final showdown with Portugal after a sensational 3-1 victory in Lille on Friday evening.

And we asked former Wales international Jack Collison to rate each player out of 10.

Wayne Hennessey - 7.5

He put in a couple of excellent saves early on. There was also a crucial fingertip on a cross Romelu Lukaku looked to be heading in. He couldn't do anything about the Belgium goal which was an absolute wonder strike so it was a solid performance from the Crystal Palace goalkeeper.

Gareth Bale and Wayne Hennessey

James Chester - 7

It was a really solid display from Chester. He's been superb all tournament. He made a couple of very important tackles on Eden Hazard and he's had a really big part to play, not just tonight but throughout the tournament.

Ashley Williams - 8

The skipper popped up when his side needed him! Williams grabbed the all-important equaliser and again, it was his defensive work that was key to Wales. He put in a couple of crucial interceptions and was solid as a rock for his side.

Ben Davies - 7.5

He was booked quite early on but it didn't deter him from his work. He put his body on the line with a couple of crucial blocks in what was another solid display from the Tottenham defender. He'll be a big miss in the semi-final.

Chris Gunter - 7.5

Gunter has been one of Wales' outstanding performers in this tournament. His work rate and his energy are a big part of why Wales have been doing so well. The third goal showed how confident he is at the moment. He could have taken the ball to the corner to waste time but instead he's delivered a wonderful cross and helped put the icing on the cake. He was fantastic tonight.

Joe Allen - 8

I though he was magnificent again. He does the simple things so well and he's the heartbeat of this Wales team.

Joe Ledley - 7

Ledley run his socks off in the middle of the park for his side. He got his tackles in and covered some excellent ground before being replaced in the 77th minute.

Neil Taylor -7.5

Another solid display from the Swansea full-back. He was good up and down the left-hand side and showed excellent work-rate. He stuck to his task very well.

Gareth Bale - 8

It was a quieter night for Bale but he still showed glimpses of his quality. He was still inspiring others with his work-rate and also because of what he can bring to the side on the pitch.

Aaron Ramsey - 8.5

He's incredible. What more can you say? He's been absolutely incredible throughout the tournament and once again he led by example against Belgium. He put in some wonderful bursting runs forward and then was back defending. The quality he has in possession of the ball is just a joy to watch. Apart from Hal Robson-Kanu's moment of individual brilliance, he was Wales' star man.

Hal Robson-Kanu - 9

He put in an absolute shift! His work-rate was just incredible. He was rewarded with a wonderful goal. That turn! It's a goal that will be shown over and over again. People will be watching that for years to come. For the performance, for the way he led the line and for the goal he gets the highest mark! Sorry Aaron.
