Wayne Rooney could break Bobby Charlton's goalscoring record as England aim to secure their place at Euro 2016 with a win against San Marino.

With 48 goals in 105 international matches, Rooney is bearing down on Charlton's milestone of 49 goals, which has stood since 1970.

Rooney has netted in England's last five qualifying matches, including a penalty in the 5-0 win over San Marino in October last year.

Group E leaders England are one of only two teams with a perfect qualifying record and will book their spot at the finals in France with another victory, regardless of other results.

A draw would be enough if Slovenia fail to beat Switzerland while a win over San Marino and then another victory over the Swiss on Tuesday would secure top spot in the group,

Euro 2016 Qualifiers

San Marino have managed just a point so far from their six matches, conceding 19 goals and scoring none - their solitary point coming from a goalless draw against Estonia in their last home qualifier.
