The 34-year-old will work under the title of team manager, which is a new position for NAC.
But Schenning's tasks will also consist of overseeing the running of the youth academy and taking part in individual training.
Waslander has been appointed as coach Ton Lokhoff's second assistant, with his primary brief to guide the younger players.
In addition to that twin appointment, NAC have also confirmed that Frans Bouwmeester has become the new head of scouting.
