Thomas Muller has added fuel to the speculation that Mario Gotze could be on his way out of Bayern Munich this summer by saying his team-mate is not "satisfied" at the Bundesliga club.

Gotze has been linked with a move to the Premier League or a return to Borussia Dortmund this summer after struggling to hold down a first-team spot in his three seasons at Bayern so far.

And Muller, who is currently on international duty with Germany alongside Gotze ahead of the friendly with England on Saturday, suggested his compatriot is not happy with his lack of action.

"I speak with Mario and think he is not 100 per cent satisfied with his situation at Bayern," Muller said.

"But I am not Mario's agent, so I am not going to speak about his future."

Gotze has made just 12 appearances for Bayern in an injury-hit season so far, but Germany boss Joachim Low insisted earlier this week that the man who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final remains a key part of his plans ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.

"I can understand the situation at Bayern, to an extent, from afar," said Low. "Mario has long been injured this season and there have been very, very important matches.

"I've noticed in training that, in regards to his fitness and form, Mario isn't yet where he was before his injury. You can see he's lacking match practice, but I will definitely count on him for the European championships.

"It's always worth it to support Mario, because he can do things which other players can't do.

"I had a talk with him last night about his situation at Bayern Munich and we decided he would play against Italy in Munich next week.

"We had great talks about his situation and there will of course be a new coach in Bayern next season so the first thing he should do is talk to the new coach."
