Antoine Griezmann could leave Atletico Madrid, according to manger Diego Simeone, amid rumoured interest from Manchester United.

The Frenchman is once again enjoying a fruitful campaign in front of goal for the La Liga outfit, scoring 22 times in 40 appearances, and has attracted plenty of interest from around Europe.

While he will certainly see out the remainder of the season with Atleti, Simeone said he could not guarantee the striker would stay at the club beyond that with the two engaging in talks last summer over Griezmann's future.

When asked by Spanish publication AS if the France international could leave, Simeone said: "Yes, because there is a termination clause. There is no security.

"That's what he told me [in the summer talks] - if you stay, I'll stay and I said yes, why would I not stay? And they began to work with the representatives for everything that had to be signed. And he stayed.

"And from now on I do not know what can happen. He would never let me tell him to stay. I did not do it with [Diego] Costa or [Radamel] Falcao.
