WATCH: Barcelona star Neymar sees red for second booking after reckless challenge
Saturday 8 April 2017 23:09, UK
Barcelona star Neymar was given his marching orders for a second yellow as the La Liga giants fell to a 2-0 defeat against Malaga.
His first booking was arguably unnecessary as he did not retreat from a free-kick, but the second and eventual sending off was certainly more obvious.
With Barcelona already 1-0 down, the Brazil international chased down Malaga defender Diego Llorente as he tried to clear the ball, putting in a dangerous tackle that sent the Real Madrid loanee.
The referee made no mistake in sending Neymar off for the challenge in the 65th minute, and appeared to exchange frustrated words with someone as he took the early walk down the tunnel.
It went from bad to worse for 10-man Barcelona as Jony scored the second goal on the 90 minute mark after former Barca man Sandro Ramirez got the opener in the 32nd minute.
