Motherwell are to name the East Stand at Fir Park after league-winning manager John 'Sailor' Hunter.
The John Hunter Stand will feature some of the achievements of the club's longest-serving boss, who won the title with Liverpool as a player before taking charge of Motherwell in 1911 aged 32.
Hunter broke the Old Firm duopoly by leading Motherwell to the title in 1932 during a nine-year spell when they were never out of the top three and took them on a successful tour of Spain in 1927, where they beat Real Madrid and drew with Barcelona.
He also led Motherwell to three Scottish Cup finals during a 35-year spell in charge and spent another 13 years as club secretary.
Chief operating officer Alan Burrows said: "In future years, we want young fans to ask who John Hunter was so his incomparable half-century contribution to Motherwell FC and the amazing story can be kept alive and well for every generation.
"We will re-brand the side of the stand, renovate the entrance way and will dot little facts and figures about Sailor's achievements around the stand, so people know exactly what this true great managed to accomplish whilst in charge of our club."
Meanwhile, former Motherwell midfielder Liam Grimshaw has joined the Well Society, the fans' group which took over the club last month.
Grimshaw, who moved from Manchester United to Preston immediately after a loan spell at Fir Park, said: "Despite leaving the club last January, I've continued to follow results really closely so I was delighted to hear the news that the Well Society had taken over full ownership of the club.
"I had a fantastic time up in Motherwell on and off the field. Everyone connected with the club and town were great with me and my family."
