Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral has arrived in Glasgow ahead of his loan move to Rangers.
La Liga club Granada had confirmed on Tuesday that Toral had returned to Arsenal after the Gunners chose to activate a recall option in his contract.
Arsene Wenger had commented on Sunday that he was working on a deal for Toral to go on loan to Ibrox, saying the move would benefit the player, and the transfer appears to be close to conclusion.
The Spaniard was sent on a season-long loan to Granada in the summer, but has made just six appearances.
The 21-year-old impressed with Birmingham last term - scoring eight goals in 33 appearances - and was a part of Arsenal's summer tour to the Far East at the end of the last campaign.
