AFC Wimbledon and Accrington could both secure awards doubles after the nominations were announced for April’s Sky Bet League Two Player and Manager of the Month Awards.
Dons manager Neil Ardley and striker Lyle Taylor are in the running, along with Stanley boss John Coleman and winger Tarique Fosu-Henry.
Ardley guided his side into the play-offs on a run of five successive victories and a 16-point haul from seven games during the month.
His previously free-scoring side proved they can keep it tight at the back if necessary by conceding just three goals.
Taylor scored six goals out of a team total of eight, including two-goal salvos secured in away wins at Wycombe and Dagenham and Redbridge.
Coleman has guided unfancied Accrington to the verge of achieving a memorable and unlikely promotion after 14 points from six games lifted his side into the automatic promotion spots.
Stanley's positive run in April was aided by the good form of on-loan Reading player Fosu-Henry, who notched up three goals and two assists.
His pace and dynamism on the left of midfield have given Stanley an extra dimension in attack.
Portsmouth have been inconsistent this season but manager Paul Cook used his experience to inspire his side to a 1-0 win at AFC Wimbledon to secure a play-off place, one of five victories in their seven games.
Also nominated for manager of the month is Cambridge's Shaun Derry.
His team charged through their April fixtures to collect 12 points from six unbeaten games as they just missed out on a top-seven place.
The highlight of a memorable month which promises much for next season was a 7-0 thumping of Morecambe.
Back in the player category, six goals in as many games for Barnet forward John Akinde have seen his name put in the frame.
Rounding out the nominations for April Player of the Month is Stevenage defender Fraser Franks.
He has adapted to a new role at left-back with impressive ease, with his versatility and solid tackling evident as the Hertfordshire side conceded just three goals in seven April games.
The winners will be announced on Sky Sports News HQ from 6am on Friday May 6.
