RB Leipzig are interested in signing Brentford striker Scott Hogan in January, Sky Sports News HQ understands.
The 24-year-old scored his 14th goal in 26 appearances on Monday as Brentford won 3-1 at Birmingham City.
Hogan is valued at around £15m by Brentford and has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League clubs, including West Ham, as well as from other clubs in the Championship.
Leipzig, who are second in the Bundesliga and just three points behind league-leaders Bayern Munich, are known to be targeting the English second-tier market, and signed Nottingham Forest's Oliver Burke last summer.
They are also reported in Germany to be interested in Leeds' 18-year-old midfielder Ronaldo Vieira.
Hogan signed for Brentford from Rochdale in £750,000 deal in 2014 but suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in only his second game for the club.
He did not return to action until March 2016 and scored seven goals in the last four matches of last season.
