Sunderland striker Joel Asoro is undergoing a medical at Swansea ahead of his proposed £2m transfer to the Liberty Stadium.
Sky Sports News reported earlier in the week the deal had been agreed and the move is expected to be completed by the weekend.
The Sweden striker - who scored three goals in 29 games as the Black Cats were relegated to Sky Bet League One last season - had one year left on his deal at the Stadium of Light but rejected a new contract offer.
Asoro joined Sunderland from Swedish side IF Brommapojkarna in 2015 and new Swans boss Graham Potter knows the player from his time managing Ostersunds.
The 19-year-old from Stockholm will become Potter's second signing since taking over at Swansea, following the arrival of former Real Madrid defender Jordi Govea.
Watch Swansea's first game back in the Sky Bet Championship following their relegation from the Premier League when they play Sheffield United on August 4.
Coverage begins on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Event at 5:15pm.
