Morgan Fox was the unlucky player who scored an own goal to put Swindon 1-0 ahead in their game with Charlton

Charlton defender Morgan Fox had a moment to forget when he unfortunately turned past his own goalkeeper against Swindon on Saturday.

With the match evenly poised at 0-0 minutes before half-time, Fox could only watch on helplessly as Sean Murray's weak shot deflected off his heel, wrong-footing goalkeeper Declan Rudd.

It put Swindon on their way to a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Addicks at the County Ground, ensuring a winning start for new director of football Tim Sherwood.

The former Aston Villa boss was in the stands, as was QPR's Les Ferdinand and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, for the first time since his appointment earlier this week.

Lloyd Jones added to the first-half own goal when he finished from close range shortly after the break, while Josh Goddard added a late third for the hosts.
