Doncaster player-coach Rob Jones has left the club by mutual consent.
Jones, who had a spell as caretaker-manager following the sacking of Paul Dickov in 2015, had worked as coach of the club's development side.
"The club would like to thank Rob, who scored 11 goals in 78 appearances, for all his hard work and commitment during the previous three-and-a-half years and wish him the very best in his future endeavours," Doncaster said on their official website.
The 36-year-old signed for Rovers in the summer of 2012 from Sheffield Wednesday and went on to captain the side.
A shoulder injury cut short the defender's season in 2013/14 and he has made only 15 appearances since, four in the current campaign.
He was appointed temporary boss in September last year and won one of his six games in charge.
