Striker cuts short non-league loan spell
Southend have cut short young striker Charles Ademeno's loan spell at Rushden & Diamonds.
The teenager moved to Nene Park in February with the intention of remaining with the Blue Square Premier club until the end of the season.
He scored one goal in eight appearances for Garry Hill's side, before returning to Roots Hall to help resolve the Shrimpers' injury crisis.
Most of his first-team experience to date has come during loan spells at Cambridge and Welling, but with Steve Tilson short on numbers heading into a weekend showdown with Crewe, Ademeno may find himself involved at the Alexandra Stadium.
"We have a few injuries at the moment," Tilson told the club's official website.
"I want to have make sure we have enough bodies around for the remainder of the season and our play-off push."
