Leicester striker Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki have spoken after the striker was reported to have made a slur against Japanese people, Sky sources understands.
The Sun on Sunday published a video showing the England striker using derogatory language towards Japanese people in a casino.
The 28-year-old has since apologised for his actions and for offence his conduct has caused.
Vardy and Okazaki, who signed for Leicester from German side Mainz in June, are understood to be close and trained together on Monday morning.
They are thought to have discussed the situation and it is understood there is no issue between the two, with Okazaki accepting what Vardy said in a club statement.
Vardy scored Leicester’s first goal in Saturday’s 4-2 win over Sunderland, a match in which Okazaki also made his competitive debut for the club.
