Bournemouth have had an offer in the region of £20m for Demarai Gray rejected by Leicester City, according to Sky sources.
Gray made 41 appearances in all competitions for Leicester last season, but only nine league starts and he is understood to be angling for more game time.
Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare, speaking after the recent 2-1 friendly defeat at Burton, said Gray would get his chance this season.
"Dimi's representatives came in to have a meeting with the director of football (Jon Rudkin), I wasn't privy to that," Shakespeare said.
"We've had conversations, myself and Dimi. It is well-documented. We have spoken about trying to give him more game-time and we are both happy with that."
Gray, who signed from Birmingham City for £3.5m in January 2016, scored twice for England's U21s at the 2017 European Championship in Poland.
Meanwhile, Leicester have rejected a second bid from Roma for Riyad Mahrez, and Kelechi Iheanacho is poised to complete his £25m switch from Manchester City after having a medical.
Eddie Howe has strengthened his squad by bringing in Jermain Defoe and Nathan Ake so far this summer.
