Coventry City midfielder Craig Pead's loan spell at Notts County has been cut short.Pead initially linked up with The Magpies in September and had made six appearances for the League Two side.
County boss Gary Mills extended the 23-year-old's loan for a second month earlier in the week.
But he has now been forced to send Pead back to Highfield Road as The Magpies lack the funds to retain the midfielder.
Mills was trying to ship one of his own players out of the club on loan but was unable to arrange the deal, prompting Pead's exit.
