Defender considering options
Colchester United skipper Magnus Okuonghae has departed the club after turning down their final contract offer, Sky Sports understands.
The giant Nigerian-born defender played over 100 games for the Essex outfit after joining from Dagenham & Redbridge in 2009 - but he has now decided the time is right to move on.
The 26-year-old is now a free agent and is in talks with clubs from the Championship and SPL, with over half-a-dozen teams keen on securing his services.
Okuonghae's representative Leon Callander confirmed that the central defender had decided to move on.
"It has not been an easy decision for Magnus to leave as he has loved his time with Colchester," Callander told Sky Sports.
"But he is ambitious and wants to play at the highest possible level and we are now considering the options available to us."
