Stoke midfielder Joe Allen will not be sold during the summer transfer window, according to Sky sources.
Swansea were reportedly interested in re-signing the midfielder but have been told directly that Stoke will not entertain any more offers for the Wales international.
Allen made over 100 appearances for Swansea and helped them become established in the Premier League before he was signed by Liverpool in the summer of 2012.
And Allen went on to spend four seasons at Anfield before moving on to Stoke last summer, going on to enjoy a successful campaign for Mark Hughes' side.
Hughes has been adamant that he does not want to part with Allen and said last week: "My understanding is there was a tentative inquiry and that was it.
"We rebuffed that, didn't give it any encouragement whatsoever, and that's where we are with that one, not for sale."
