Momo Sissoko is confident of joining a Premier League side in the coming weeks, but that club will not be West Brom, Sky sources understand.
The former Liverpool, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain midfielder joined West Brom on a week's trial at the beginning of the month and started Albion's 1-0 friendly win against Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos during the international break.
After impressing in training, Sissoko's trial was extended by a further seven days by West Brom boss Tony Pulis and the Mali international played 90 minutes for the club's U23 side in a 1-0 win against Brighton last week.
But with James Morrison and Chris Brunt close to returning to full fitness, West Brom no longer have a pressing need to reinforce their midfield, particularly as club-record signing Nacer Chadli has slotted in seamlessly, scoring twice in Saturday's 4-2 win against West Ham.
Earlier this month, Sissoko told Sky Sports of his desire to return to "one of the best league's in the world" following his two-and-a-half year spell with Liverpool where he helped the Reds lift the FA Cup in 2006 and reach the Champions League final in 2007.

The former Valencia midfielder was linked with rival Premier League sides Sunderland and Hull prior to training with West Brom and has since entertained approaches from clubs in France and Germany.
But the 31-year-old is understood to be keen to remain in the Premier League and is able to join a club as a free agent after spending a season playing under Sven Goran Eriksson with Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
