Derby defender Craig Forsyth has suffered a serious knee injury and is likely to miss the rest of the season.
Forsyth ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the Sky Bet Championship victory against QPR at the iPro Stadium on Tuesday night.
The left-back is the second Derby player to sustain that particular injury this season, after midfielder Will Hughes suffered the same fate on the opening day of the campaign, and Forsyth, 26, will visit the surgeon who operated on his team-mate.
"It is a very disappointing outcome," said Rams head coach Paul Clement at his pre-match press conference ahead of the East Midlands derby against Nottingham Forest.
"Craig hasn't really been in the medical room before. It was a freak injury and it is so unfortunate for him.
"He is seeing the surgeon that operated on Will Hughes."
