Birmingham have signed Southampton striker Sam Gallagher on a season-long loan deal.
Sky Sports News reported on Monday that a deal had been struck to take the 21-year-old to St Andrew's for the Championship campaign.
And Gallagher has since passed a medical and signed on, becoming Blues' eighth signing during the current transfer window.
The England U20 forward was also wanted by Derby and Aston Villa, and City boss Harry Redknapp said: "Delighted. I think he's a good centre-forward. He's got a great attitude and scores goals.
"Believe me, there were a lot of clubs who wanted him. I think he's going to be great for us."
The move for Gallagher, who scored 12 goals in 47 appearances last season while on loan at Blackburn, comes hours after Arsenal full-backs Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall were recruited on similar deals.
