Harry Redknapp will meet representatives of Birmingham City's owners on Thursday evening to officially sign as the club's manager, Sky sources understand.
As reported by Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday, Redknapp has verbally agreed a one-year deal to remain manager after winning two out of three games to keep Birmingham in the Sky Bet Championship while in temporary charge.
Negotiations continue with Steve Cotterill over a contract for him to join Birmingham as Redknapp's assistant.
Redknapp took over from Gianfranco Zola in April, with Birmingham having won just two in 24 games under the Italian and slipped from play-off contention to a relegation battle.
Former Tottenham and West Ham manager Redknapp asked for assurances over how much investment Birmingham's owners were willing to back him with before taking on the role full-time.
However, after receiving confirmation the club's hierarchy will put up appropriate funds to match Redknapp's ambitions, the ex-Portsmouth boss is prepared to move to the Midlands from his Dorset home to lead the Blues into next season.
