Hammers land Kiraly

West Ham have signed Crystal Palace goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly on a short-term deal.

West Ham have signed Crystal Palace goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly on a two-week 'emergency' loan deal.

Palace were willing to let Kiraly leave after falling out of favour with boss Peter Taylor.

Kiraly lost his place in the Palace starting XI last month and the loan signing of Iain Turner earlier this week pushed the Hungarian international further down the pecking order.

West Ham have moved to offer the 30-year-old the chance to play in The Premiership again.

Kiraly will compete with Robert Green and Roy Carroll for a place in the West Ham side.

Kiraly's deal expires on December 3, but the spell could be extended if he impresses during his short stint in East London.
