West Bromwich Albion have agreed a fee with West Ham for forward Diafra Sakho, according to Sky sources.

Sky sources understand the fee agreed between the clubs for the 26-year-old is in the region of £16m.

Sakho handed in a transfer request in July after Sunderland had a £11m bid rejected by West Ham and subsequently refused to travel with the rest of the Hammers squad for their pre-season tour of Austria.

Sevilla and Hamburg are also understood to have previously enquired into the availability of Sakho, who has two years remaining on his current contact at West Ham.

The Senegal international joined West Ham from French side Metz in 2014 and enjoyed a stunning start to life in England, scoring in six consecutive matches.
