Manchester City are believed close to completing a deal to sign Real Madrid full-back Danilo, according to Sky sources.
The Brazil defender is set to undergo a medical in the United States, where both Madrid and City remain on their respective pre-season tours, with a fee of £26.5m having been agreed between the clubs.
The versatile 26-year-old is understood to be considered as competition for both right-back and left-back positions by boss Pep Guardiola, who is set to spend more than £100m on full-backs this summer.
Full-back has been of priority to Guardiola since he allowed Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna to leave the club on free transfers, while Aleksandar Kolarov is expected to join Roma in the coming days.
City take on the reigning Spanish and European champions Real in the International Champions Cup next week as they continue their preparations for the new Premier League season.
