Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger appeared to push the fourth official after he was sent off following his protests over a late Burnley penalty

Graeme Souness believes Arsene Wenger will be in trouble after apparently pushing the fourth official during Arsenal's dramatic Super Sunday win over Burnley.

The Arsenal manager was sent to the stands by referee Jon Moss for complaining following the decision to award Burnley a penalty three minutes into injury-time for a foul by Francis Coquelin on Ashley Barnes.

Wenger had a heated exchange with fourth official Anthony Taylor before walking to stand in the tunnel at the Emirates Stadium.

When Taylor asked the Arsenal manager to retreat further, Wenger was caught on camera pushing the fourth official before stewards intervened.

He [Wenger] raises his arms and pushes him. My understanding of that is he'll be in trouble.

"You just can't do this," said Sky Sports expert Souness after the Premier League game.

"He has obviously not gone far enough into the tunnel and [the fourth official] has asked him to go further back.

"He raises his arms and pushes him. My understanding of that is he'll be in trouble.

"The security man has done him a big favour. He got in between them."

After the match Wenger firmly denied that he had got physical with the fourth official, but did admit he lost control.

He told Sky Sports: "I just should have shut up and I apologise for not having done it, that's it.

"Basically, it was nothing malicious. I shouldn't have said a word and kept my control, even if it was in a hectic time."

Arsenal, who had Granit Xhaka sent off in the 65th minute, would go on to win the game when Moss awarded them a penalty in the seventh minute of injury-time, which was converted by Alexis Sanchez.
