Liverpool have become the highest paying club in agents' fees in the Premier League - more than any of the top-four.

But it is Arsenal who have shown the biggest percentage increase on last year; almost trebling their fees despite signing only one first-team outfield player in Gabriel Paulista.

The Gunners spent £11.928m between October 1 2014 and September 30 this year - £7.6m more than the £4.3m they spent last year. Along with Gabriel, they signed Petr Cech on a free transfer and seven youth-team players.

Liverpool paid £14.301m in agents fees - a reduction of £6,980 from the previous year - but it was not enough to stop them moving above Chelsea, who reduced their agents' fees by £4.81m from £16.80m to just under £12m.

Manchester United have leapt two places to third, having increased their agents' fees by almost £6m to £13.9m - £1.5m more than the £12.4m paid by local rivals Manchester City.

West Ham remain sixth after spending around £60,000 more than last year, while Tottenham have reduced their fees by almost half and sink from fourth last year to seventh.

Leicester, who topped the Premier League last week, spent just over £4m on agents' fees, following a rise of around £3.5m.
