Frank Lampard finally got the chance to give the Chelsea fans a fond farewell during half time of their match with Swansea

Frank Lampard returned to Stamford Bridge on Saturday to say goodbye to the Chelsea supporters, and we captured his speech on video...

Lampard announced his retirement last month after a 21-year career that also took him to West Ham, Manchester City and New York City - not forgetting a brief loan spell at Swansea.

So technically the Chelsea great was addressing fans of two of his former clubs when he took the microphone at half-time during the Blues' 3-1 win over Swansea.

But Lampard's words were aimed squarely at the Stamford Bridge locals who continue to idolise their club's record goalscorer almost three years since he moved on.

Small wonder when the England man helped them to a haul of honours including three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and a Champions League.
