Anthony Martial hails Manchester United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial says he would welcome the signing of fellow striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic is preparing to captain Sweden at the European Championship in France this summer but has remained coy on his club future after revealing his intention to leave Paris Saint-Germain this year.  

The former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Ajax front man has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester, in order to link up with his former manager Jose Mourinho.

And Martial, who is also preparing for this summer's upcoming international tournament with host nation France, says he welcomes the potential competition for places, should Ibrahimovic arrive at Old Trafford.

"Zlatan is a good player and a great striker - he would improve us with his experience," said Martial, who also hailed the arrival of new manager Mourinho at a French press conference on Friday.

"Mourinho is a great coach, one of the best in the world."

Martial was speaking at a press conference ahead of France's final warm up match against Scotland on Saturday.

The Red Devils striker had been a doubt for the game after suffering a thigh injury in training prior to France's 3-2 victory over Cameroon.

And, despite admitting he is still working back to full fitness, Martial is expecting to feature against Gordon Strachan's side in Metz.

"It's a little difficult as we've had two training sessions a day," Martial said.

"I talked about this with the coach and we've tried to ease my training sessions. Now I feel much better."
