Premier League sprint stats: Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey tops the list
Tuesday 13 October 2015 14:48, UK
We use tracking data to reveal the Premier League players with the most sprints this season.
The EA Player Performance Index uses real time player movement tracking to show how far and how fast players run on the pitch.
Sprints are defined as runs in excess of 25.2 kilometres per hour and each individual sprint is logged.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is a clear leader in this season's Premier League having made 560 sprints already, 27 ahead of Watford's Ikechi Anya.
With Jurgen Klopp expected to introduce his intense pressing game, he might well be encouraged to know that Liverpool duo Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner are both among the top 10 too.
