Liverpool may face the prospect of a bigger fee than they had originally hoped for Danny Ings following his England debut, according to Sky sources.
The Reds could not agree a deal with Burnley for the striker who opted to move to Anfield on July 1 once his Clarets contract expired and the fee will be settled by a tribunal.
As Ings is under 24 years old, Burnley are entitled to compensation, but no date for the Professional Football Compensation Committee to settle the matter has been set.
The striker made his England debut as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Lithuania on Monday night and Sky Sports understands Burnley are now expecting higher compensation for the 23-year-old.
The Championship club have been holding out for £12m and Sky Sports reported in the summer that Tottenham had been prepared to pay that figure to secure a move for Ings, but the striker had his heart set on a move to Liverpool.
Burnley are how hopeful that Ings' step up to the senior squad will increase the likelihood of significant add-ons in any deal ordered by the tribunal.
The striker has scored three goals in his last eight appearances but had to wait for his chance in the early weeks of the season but has taken his chance following an injury to Christian Benteke.
