Leigh Griffiths is expected to be fit for Celtic's Champions League qualifier in midweek, despite limping off after just 19 minutes of their season-opener against Ross County.

Griffiths scored the opening goal for the Hoops in the fourth minute of the Scottish Premiership clash but was then forced off after suffering a knock.

Hoops boss Ronny Deila said the injury did not appear to be serious, with the reigning Scottish champions desperate not to lose the striker ahead of Wednesday's crunch second-leg clash against Qarabag in Azerbaijan.

The Glasgow giants will travel to eastern Europe defending a narrow one-goal advantage.

Speaking after the 2-0 win over County, Deila said of Griffiths: "I don't think it is serious.

"I think he will be back for Wednesday. It is nothing pulled – it is just a knock.
