Defender set for Championship move
Skysports.com understands defender Tom Kennedy has agreed a three-year deal with Doncaster after rejecting the chance to extend his stay with Rochdale.
The 24-year-old had been strongly linked with a move away from Spotland following his impressive contribution towards Dale's promotion from League Two.
Earlier in the week, Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll confirmed that he had held initial discussions with Kennedy, but that no offer had yet been made.
Just days later it has emerged that the South Yorkshire club have made significant inroads in landing their summer target.
Rovers look to have beaten off competition from fellow Championship sides Leeds United and Scunthorpe, who were both said to be in the race to sign the sought-after left-back.
