Paul Lambert reveals Stoke's response to reports Wolves have prepared a £35m offer for Jack Butland

Paul Lambert has claimed £35m would only be enough for goalkeeper Jack Butland's right glove.

An offer to that value was reportedly being prepared by Wolves, already promoted to the Premier League this week.

But Stoke, three points adrift of 17th-placed Swansea ahead of Saturday's game at home to Crystal Palace - live on Sky Sports - have handed a warning to any potential bidders for the 'keeper.

Asked if £35m was a fair sum for Butland, Lambert said: "Is that for one glove?

"The way the modern market is you might get one glove for that. When it becomes a little bit more realistic with the modern day transfer fees then wait and see.

"I know people at Wolves and get along well with them, but that will probably get you Jack's right hand I think."
