Arsenal 0-4 Chelsea (agg: 1-7): Blues cruise to fifth straight FA Youth Cup success
Tuesday 1 May 2018 13:06, UK
Chelsea cruised to a fifth straight FA Youth Cup success, thumping Arsenal 4-0 at the Emirates to complete a 7-1 aggregate win on Monday night.
The Blues matched the achievements of Manchester United's Busby Babes from the 1950s by lifting the trophy for a fifth consecutive year, with Billy Gilmour setting Jody Morris' side on their way with an 11th-minute strike.
Callum Hudson-Odoi scored twice and Tino Anjorin was also on target in the rout, meaning Chelsea's academy have won seven Youth Cup titles since 2010.
The young Gunners, watched by Jack Wilshere and Thierry Henry, needed an early goal to give them hope of reversing the two-goal deficit from the first leg, and Xavier Amaechi forced a good save from Chelsea keeper Jamie Cumming.
But Chelsea killed the contest shortly afterwards as Jon Panzo combined with Juan Castillo before Gilmour swept in from the edge of the area.

Arsenal keeper Joao Virginia denied Castillo and Hudson-Odoi but the latter made no mistake from Daishawn Redan's cross on the counter-attack.
Hudson-Odoi turned provider to roll the ball back for Anjorin to sweep home, and the pair combined once more for Hudson-Odoi to add extra gloss to an emphatic scoreline.
