Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the media across Europe for the latest news and transfer rumours.
The agenda in Germany is centred around who will become Bayern Munich's new coach after Carlo Ancelotti's sacking in midweek. There are plenty of high-calibre candidates and one is former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel. According to reports, Bayern are in advanced talks with Tuchel, who was sacked at the end of last season due to strained relations with the club's board. (SportBuzzer)
According to further reports in Germany, the 44-year-old, who won the DFB-Pokal last season by beating Eintracht Frankfurt in the final, has already flown into Munich to hold talks with Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. (Bild)
Hugely popular at the club where he won four Champions League titles as player and then coach, reports suggest Ancelotti could re-join AC Milan. Current coach Vincenzo Montella is under pressure but Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli has denied interest in the now ex-Bayern boss. "Ancelotti's farewell to FC Bayern is very sad for us," he told Sky Italia. "But we have a coach who is younger but not less talented than Carlo." (SportBild)
Barcelona outcasts Gerard Deulofeu and Paco Alcacer are believed to be considering their futures at the Nou Camp after finding themselves sidelined by new manager Ernesto Valverde. Ousmane Dembele's four-month injury lay-off looked to open a door for fellow wideman Deulofeu, but Aleix Vidal and Sergi Roberto have been preferred. (Marca)
Real Madrid-bound prodigy Vinicius Junior will not represent Brazil at the U17 World Cup due to kick off in India next weekend. The 17-year-old forward agreed to join the Spanish giants from Flamengo in May but will spend this season and next on loan at his current club. Real and Flamengo discussed the matter and came to the conclusion he would not turn out for Brazil. (Marca)
Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio spoke to the Spanish press after inking a new contract until 2023 and revealed manager Zinedine Zidane was the player he looked up to before playing under the Frenchman. "When I was little Zidane was my idol, and now he's my coach," he said. (AS)
Striker Kevin Gameiro, a one-time Tottenham transfer target, could leave Atletico Madrid in January. The 30-year-old Frenchman has played just 27 minutes in La Liga this season from just two appearances - both from the bench. (Mundo Deportivo)
The German press are not the only ones interested in the future of sacked Bayern Munich coach Ancelotti. The Italian coach, 58, is drawing interest from his homeland and there are reports suggesting he has already been offered a job already by Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande. A 'monster contract' worth €45m over three years has been put to Ancelotti. Another ex-Chelsea coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari, is still Guangzhou manager, however. (Calciomercato)
Napoli forward Jose Callejon is back in the Spain squad for the first time since November for their World Cup 2017 qualifiers against Albania and Israel. "It's a beautiful day for me and my family, I'm back in the national team, but I have to continue working like this," he said after ending his international exile. (Tuttomercato)
Former Liverpool transfer target Faouzi Ghoulam is set to sign a new four-year contract with Napoli. The versatile left-sided player will ink an agreement worth €2.4m per season with a €40m release clause for clubs of PSG or Real Madrid's ilk. A lesser side would only have to pay €27m. (Gazzetta)
Former Italy international Alessandro Diamanti, who had spells in the Premier League with Watford and West Ham, has been offered the chance to train with MLS side Chicago fire. The 34-year-old is out of contract after spending last season at Palermo and could join Marco di Vaio and Sebastian Giovinco in the States. (Calciomercato)
Hatem Ben Arfa's time at Paris Saint-Germain appears to be nearing an end but not without a fight. He has made just five Ligue 1 starts since joining from Nice in 2016 and his attempts to leave the Parc des Princes have been unsuccessful so far. Now the 30-year-old has accused his club of freezing him out. He was banished from first-team training at the start of September and reports suggest he could be demoted again. His lawyer, Jean-Jacques Bertrand, said: "We demand that the club respects its obligations. There is a very clear regression in Hatem's working conditions here." (L'Equipe)
One possible destination might have been Turkish side Antalyaspor where former Paris forward Jeremy Menez currently plays. He has revealed in an interview he tried to persuade Ben Arfa to follow France team-mate Samir Nasri to the Turkish club in the summer. "I talked to the president, but he was not too interested. It's a shame, it would have been fun to have him come too," he said. (L'Equipe)
