Burnley have completed the signing of Aston Villa's Ashley Westwood for fee in the region of £5m.
The 26-year-old completed a medical at the Manchester Health Institute on Deadline Day morning.
He has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the option of a further year, and will wear the number 18 shirt.
Westwood said: "I'm delighted. It's happened fast but I've been made to feel very welcome and I can't wait to get going.
"It feels like a proper football club and homely, and that's what I like. I like to be appreciated and I think I will definitely get that here."
The former Crewe Alexandra player moved to Villa in 2012 and has made more than 150 appearances for the West Midlands club over five seasons; four of which were in the English top flight.
Westwood signed a five-year contract at Villa when the club were in the Premier League in August 2015 and remained a regular first-team player for Villa in the Sky Bet Championship, featuring in 23 of their 27 games.
