Chinese Super League side Tianjin are interested in signing Leicester City forward Islam Slimani, according to Sky sources.
Sky sources understand there has been no formal bid for the Algeria international and no direct contact between the clubs.
Leicester broke their transfer record to sign Slimani from Sporting Lisbon last summer, spending £29m on the 28-year-old.
Sky sources understand Tianjin would have to offer significantly more than what Leicester paid for Slimani for the Premier League champions to consider selling him.
Slimani has enjoyed a productive start to his Leicester career, scoring six goals in 16 appearances.
He has been on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations since January 2, but will return to Leicester this week following his country's group stage exit from the competition.
