Notts County have terminated the contract of former Charlton Athletic striker Danny Haynes.
The Magpies have reached an agreement with Haynes, the club's highest paid player, to leave Meadow Lane with immediate effect. The 26-year-old, who joined Notts in the summer of 2013, is now free to join another club when the transfer window opens next week. Haynes found first-team opportunities limited under Magpies manager Shaun Derry and had a spell on loan at Sky Bet League One rivals Crewe this season. He made just 16 starts and scored three goals during his Magpies career. His contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
