Striker joins Turkish side on two-year deal
Ghanaian striker Matthew Amoah has departed NAC Breda for newly-promoted Turkish side Mersim Idman Yurdu.
Cash-strapped Breda were keen to keep the 30-year-old despite him being one of their top earners, but Mersim have tempted him away on a two-year deal with the option for a further year.
Eredivisie rivals AZ Alkmaar tried to sign Amoah earlier this summer but he turned down a move.
The hitman has played almost his entire career in Holland, departing only for a two-year stint at Borussia Dortmund back in 2005.
The Ghana international has also spent time at Vitesse and Fortuna Sittard before joining Breda in 2007.
