Dean Cox scored his sixth goal of the season to earn Leyton Orient their third successive victory - a 1-0 win against Bury.

The diminutive midfielder broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time when he drilled home a cross from David Mooney, beating Shakers keeper Trevor Carson from 15 yards. Until then, there had been little to excite the crowd with the action mainly centred between the two penalty areas, although the visitors came closest when a header from Efe Sodje was cleared off the line by Matthew Spring. Orient started the second period brightly and Kevin Lisbie squandered two excellent chances soon after the break. But again it was Bury who had the clearest opportunity after 66 minutes when a header from Michael Jones thudded against the crossbar.
