Who does history suggest will win the 2016 F1 drivers' title?

How many points would Rosberg and Hamilton end up with based on their historic results at the final six races of the season?

Just eight points separate Mercedes team-mates Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in the fight for the 2016 world championship, but who will emerge victorious?

We've looked at their results at each of the remaining six races since partnering up at the Silver Arrows in 2013, worked out their average score at each race, and added it to the their current totals.

Rosberg currently leads the championship on 273 points to Hamilton's 265 following his victory in Singapore, but based on history it will be even tighter when the chequered flag is waved in Abu Dhabi.

With previous form suggesting there would be just a point between Rosberg and Hamilton following the season, it shows just how tight, unpredictable and thrilling the run-in could be in 2016.
