Ahead of Anthony Crolla's rematch with Jorge Linares, we asked The Panel to give their verdict on another Manchester battle between Oasis and The Stone Roses.
A number of Britain's best loved bands have also thrived in the city, alongside its successful sportsman, and we have asked our experts to adjudicate a straight fight between two of the biggest - Oasis and The Stone Roses.
There have been so, so many songs. I used to love 'Stay Young' and still do, because we'd all want to, and that was one of the early ones.
'Champagne Supernova', 'She's Electric' were always on in the gym and the dressing room before a fight.
Rob McCracken was more of a Stone Roses man than me, because they were a bit before my time.
I wasn't a massive Oasis fan but will pick them just because of the era. I had a couple of their albums and liked 'Slide Away' and 'Wonderwall'. I prefer Noel of the two, so 'Half A World Away'.
It's got to be Oasis, hasn't it! My favourite Oasis song? Well, I walk into one don't I, 'Rock and Roll star.'
I'm going to have to go with Stone Roses. It's an absolute photo finish, but the only reason I'm going for Stone Roses is because Oasis are Manchester City fans.
If I had to walk out to a Stone Roses track it would be 'Fool's Gold', 100 per cent, because 'I'm no clown and I won't back down' is a line out of the song.
I like Oasis, even though I am from Liverpool. I had them on in the car the other day and it is hard to pick one out, but I'll have to go with 'Wonderwall'.
Well it was a tough one, but I'd go for Oasis just because of the Manchester boxing thing, and the fact they were part of Ricky Hatton's career.
All of them are great and it might not be a classic cheerful song, but 'Wonderwall' is the one for me.
Well, I cannot stand that kind of music. One or two of the Oasis tunes were alright. If you had to put a gun to my head, I would turn it on them both!
If forced, I would got with Oasis, and my daughter can play 'Wonderwall' on the guitar, so I will go with that.
I would pick Oasis, they are my era, whereas Stone Roses are way before my time. How old do you think I am? To the public I'm 34, but I still look 26.
I'm going to go for 'Lyla', it's a bit different. That or 'Wonderwall' probably. Dave Coldwell said neither, because he's bald and he's into 'Right Said Fred'.
