Chris Eubank Jr vows to succeed Floyd Mayweather as the world's best boxer

Chris Eubank Jr believes he can replace Floyd Mayweather as the world's No 1 fighter and has set his sights on another pound-for-pound star Gennady Golovkin.
The 25-year-old middleweight has been inspired by training sessions with Mayweather, who announced his retirement last weekend after taking his tally to 49-0 with a points win over Andre Berto.
Eubank Jr has climbed the rankings after stopping Dmitry Chudinov to claim the interim WBA title in February, but has set his sights higher than simply conquering his own weight division.
The Brighton fighter, son of former world champion Chris Snr, wants to sharpen his skills during more trips to Mayweather's gym in Las Vegas and insists he can one day emulate 'Money' by becoming the sport's biggest star.
"I have trained on and off with Floyd and his father for many years now and I've learned a lot," Eubank Jr told Sky Sports.

"His work ethic is second to none and it's great being around him and the 'Money Team.' It's one of the best gyms in the world in my opinion, the Mayweather gym in Las Vegas, and I think that is going to be somewhere where I may potentially be having future training camps.
"Once you are there, you really understand what real training is, real dedication, and I would like to train out there as much as possible."
Asked to name the sport's next No 1 boxer, Eubank Jr replied: "There's a fighter called Chris Eubank Jr from England. I think he's going to be the next guy to replace Floyd."
The unbeaten Golovkin is considered the main contender to fill the void left by Mayweather after racking up 33 wins, including 30 stoppages.
Golovkin will cement his position as the dominant middleweight champion if he defeats David Lemieux in October, but Eubank Jr suggests he has spotted weaknesses in the ferocious Kazakh puncher and would welcome a future fight.
"I want whoever has the belts," he said. "Obviously you've got your man Gennady Golovkin, who is seen as one of the pound-for-pound best.
"I personally see weaknesses in his boxing style and I believe when I get my opportunity, I'll be able to exploit those weaknesses.
"There is no maybe about it. He's 100 per cent beatable and I am the man to do it."
Chris Eubank Jr was speaking at the launch of Destiny: The Taken King on PS4. Featuring a new raid, an all-new campaign and unique weapons, the Taken King is available to buy now.
